Today I’m sharing a family portrait session I photographed a year ago last Fall in a beautiful field at Mission Trails. I just photographed this family last weekend for the third time at Presidio Park. I promise I won’t take an entire year to blog that session, I’m hoping to finally catch up. It really is hard to fathom that I have watched this sweet little girl grow before my lens. The first year I photographed them she was only a year old, for this Mission Trails session she was two years old, and last weekend for their third session she is now three years old. Wow! It’s such an amazing thing for me to experience this as a family photographer. It’s a privilege which I do not take lightly. I am so grateful that I have amazing clients like them who choose to come back to me year after year, and by doing so, we have gotten to know each other well and their little girl knows me and is comfortable with me too. I did notice quite a difference in her from age 2 to 3. Last year we were singing “A Whole New World” to get her to smile and dance, while this year she complimented me on my toe nail polish color and bargained with me on how many prizes she would get to choose out of my treasure chest. Haha, I remember the “threes” with my own little ones. It’s such a fun age, but three-year-olds sure do keep you on your toes!
I love photographing this sweet family each year. It’s a joy to see them each Fall and see how much their beautiful daughter has grown. She has recently begun her career as a child model and has started modelling for Target and Gymboree. Clearly, the camera loves her sweet face, and she was made for this. I’m so excited for her and can’t wait to see how far she goes.
Tis the season for Fall family portrait sessions. This family was featured in my blog post “What to Wear and how to make the most of your session” for San Diego Family Photo Sessions.
