I met this sweet family through our mutual friend. This is the third time I have photographed them, the first time was last Fall and second time for Evan’s first birthday party. Each time I photograph them it’s always a pleasure to work with them and their little boy is just so cute. I am really happy they decided to bring their French Bull Dog Maggie along for photos too. She is getting up there in age and they didn’t know if she would make it very far on the trail. Thankfully, Joe was able to carry her for most of the way. What a loyal dog she was! She followed them everywhere they went. And, she’s so photogenic too!
A little behind the scenes tidbit: we had to break out every trick in the book to get this doggy and baby to look at me. Baby Evan was incredibly squirmy and just wanted to crawl around and go go go. Maggie the dog just wanted to do the same. Thankfully, Bonnie had the good sense to bring the most favorite toy of Maggie’s since my squeaky toys and treats did not impress her at all. She brought a red balloon! Once we had this balloon blown up, I had both of their undivided attention……until Maggie jumped out of their arms and attacked the red balloon until it popped. Ha! I was definitely sweaty after this session. That day I was so thankful for red balloons! This family is so beautiful and this enchanting scene with the Summer wildflowers fits them perfectly. Enjoy!
