I was so happy when my college roommate Jen contacted me to photograph her family. When we lived together in Newport Beach I never imagined that 17 years later I would photograph her, her college boyfriend (now husband), their two beautiful girls, and puppy. Our lives are so much different now that we have families. I sometimes feel nostalgic for those fun days in the sun and the endless laughs we had with our two other roommates. We have grown up a lot since then and our lives are very full and busy as full-time Moms. I’m happy we have kept in touch even though we don’t get to see each other often. I’m thankful they asked me to help them capture some beautiful family memories for them. Jen & Derrick: You two have a gorgeous family.
