On Mother’s Day I spent the late afternoon and early evening at Torrey Pines State Beach with my family. Where we live just twenty minutes inland it was blazing hot, so we decided to head to the coast. As we got closer to the coast, we could see the marine layer engulfing the coastline. It was a welcomed relief from the heat of the day and we were happy with an overcast sky. I think the sand, the water, and the soft tones fit the theme well. I used my new Lensbaby for several of the photos towards the end. I have not yet nailed down how to get that sweet spot in perfect focus every time, but figured these photos fit well since the theme is soft. It was a wonderful and memorable Mother’s Day getting to spend time with my family and do what I love to do – photograph them. Enjoy! 🙂
