When the theme for this month’s Project Ten was announced, I knew I had to try photographing my little girl in my wedding dress. My friend Amy had seen a photo floating around on Pinterest and forwarded the idea to me. Since my daughter Eva will turn three in just a few weeks and my husband and I are getting ready to celebrate ten years of marriage in six month’s time, I figured this was a good time to try something like this.
It was quite strange to pull out my old wedding dress. I hadn’t pulled it out of its garment bag in over nine and a half years! It was a bit of a sore reminder of how much thinner I was back then.
Eva and I had some fun doing this. She didn’t last long enough for me to get all ten photos, so I included a photo of me in my wedding dress for reference. When Eva saw me editing these on my computer she said, “I like it Mama. I look like mermaid.” Oh, and she also says she wants to wear my wedding dress when she gets married and she wants a ring like mine too. Yup, all at the ripe old age of almost three! 😉
